Our Core Mission

Illuminating the Sacred Lineage of Divine Prophethood

ProphetsTree was conceived with a profound spiritual and educational aspiration: to transform centuries of dispersed classical manuscripts into an intuitive, visually stunning, and academically rigorous interactive family tree. By combining classical Islamic genealogy (ʿIlm al-Ansāb) with modern web engineering, we empower students, educators, and curious minds worldwide to explore the interconnected lineage of all 25 prophets mentioned by name in the Holy Quran.

1. Theological Foundations & Classical Sources

The genealogical framework and biographical profiles on ProphetsTree are derived exclusively from recognized classical authorities of Islamic tradition. Our primary textual references include:

  • Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir (d. 774 AH)Qisas al-Anbiya (Stories of the Prophets) and Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah (The Beginning and the End).
  • Imam Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari (d. 310 AH)Tarikh al-Rusul wa al-Muluk (History of the Messengers and Kings) and Jami' al-Bayan (Tafsir al-Tabari).
  • Ibn Hisham & Ibn IshaqAl-Sirah al-Nabawiyyah (The Canonical Prophetic Biography).
  • Imams Al-Bukhari & MuslimSahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim (The Primary Hadith Compilations).

2. The "Two-Lane" Visual Canvas Architecture

Traditional genealogical charts frequently suffer from chaotic visual tangles, overlapping text cards, and ambiguous lineage lines. To resolve these spatial dilemmas with mathematical precision, our engineering team architected the Isolated Multi-Lane System:

The Central Spine: Traces the primordial dawn of humanity from Adam (AS) through Sheeth, Idris, and Nuh to Ibrahim (AS) horizontally along a shared central axis (`y = 450`) with generous 300px spacing.
The Top Lane (Ismailite & Muhammadan Lineage): Forks upward at Ibrahim (AS) to `y = 120`, tracking Ismail (AS) through the Adnanite forefathers (Fihr, Hashim, Abdul-Muttalib, Abdullah) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in brilliant gold vectors. When Ismail's 12 children expand, they occupy an isolated vertical buffer (`y = 200` to `y = 650`) that never encroaches on other branches.
The Bottom Lane (Banu Israel Prophets): Forks downward at Ibrahim (AS) strictly to `y = 850`, guiding the eye through Ishaq (AS), Yaqub (AS), Yusuf (AS), and the subsequent seventeen Israelite prophets in noble emerald lines. Because it begins at `y = 850`, expanded child cards never touch Banu Israel cards!

3. Global Multilingual Commitment

The message of divine guidance was sent as a mercy to all nations and tongues. In alignment with this principle, ProphetsTree is fully localized into seven major world languages:

English (Global)العربية (Arabic)বাংলা (Bengali)Bahasa Melayu (Malay)Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian)اردو (Urdu)हिन्दी (Hindi)

4. Continuous Scholarly Peer Review
