1

Overview & Spiritual Status

عيسى عليه السلام المسيح ابن مريم ولد بمعجزة ورفعه الله وكان نبيا لبني إسرائيل.

2

Historical Context, Era & Lineage

Prophet Isa (AS), the Messiah and penultimate prophet of God, is revered in Islam as one of the five greatest messengers of Ulul Azm. Born miraculously without male intervention to the Virgin Maryam (Mary)—the most noble of all women—Isa was sent to the Children of Israel to confirm the Torah, ease certain strictures, preach the Injeel (Gospel), and herald the coming of the final Messenger, Ahmad (Muhammad PBUH).

3

Major Miracles & Divine Signs (المعجزات)

Isa spoke eloquently from the cradle as an infant to vindicate his mother's chastity. By Allah’s leave, he fashioned clay birds and breathed into them life, cured those born blind, healed the leper, raised the dead from their tombs, informed people of what they ate and stored in their homes, and brought down a heavenly feast (Al-Ma'idah) from the sky.

4

The Mission, Preaching of Tawheed & Severe Trials

Isa confronted the rigid legalism of hypocritical scribes and priests, preaching spiritual mercy, sincerity of the heart, and strict monotheism. When corrupt factions plotted with Roman authorities to crucify him, Allah protected His noble prophet, raising him bodily to heaven: "Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise" (4:158). He will return before the Day of Judgment to establish justice and defeat the Dajjal.

5

Key Moral Lessons & Contemporary Reflection

Isa (AS) exemplifies ascetic spirituality, divine mercy, and healing compassion. His miraculous life affirms the transcendent power of God, while decisively clarifying that he is a beloved servant and messenger of Allah, free from divine association.
