Historical Context, Era & Lineage

Prophet Sulaiman (AS) succeeded his father Dawud both in prophetic office and royal sovereignty over the United Kingdom of Israel. In response to his sincere prayer: "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me" (38:35), Allah granted him unprecedented mastery over the natural and unseen worlds, while maintaining extreme personal humility.

Major Miracles & Divine Signs (المعجزات)

Sulaiman understood the languages of all beasts, birds, and insects (Mantiq al-Tayr). The winds were placed under his control, traveling a month’s journey in a morning and a month’s journey in an evening. Jinn were subjected to his command to construct sanctuaries, basins, and monuments, and a spring of molten copper flowed miraculously for his engineering projects.

4

The Mission, Preaching of Tawheed & Severe Trials

Hearing the report from the hoopoe bird regarding the Queen of Sheba (Bilqis) who worshipped the sun, Sulaiman dispatched a letter beginning: "In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful: Be you not arrogant against me, but come to me in submission" (27:30-31). When Bilqis witnessed his court and the glass palace beneath which water flowed, she embraced monotheism with Sulaiman.
